The Arch Street Presbyterian Church and the "Capel Dewi Sant" or Saint David's Chapel act as the spiritual home of the Welsh in the Philadelphia area no matter what their religious affiliation.
The Welsh Guild at Arch St. Presbyterian Church came into being following the merger of the Girard Ave. Welsh and the Arch St. congregations.
The building itself is a spectacular example of 19th Century NeoClassiscm and has recently been refurbished inside and out.
Regular services are held every Sunday as well special services for Lent, including a noon time devotion for those who in Center City, and Welsh holidays and festivals.

The chapel has a distinctly Welsh flavour with a carved Celtic Cross on the Altar, stained glass dragons and daffodils, and the Welsh words "Teuch Canton I'r Arglwydd" meaning "Lord Teach us to Pray" illuminating the alcove.
