Arch Street Presbyterian Church

The Arch Street Presbyterian Church and the "Capel Dewi Sant" or Saint David's Chapel act as the spiritual home of the Welsh in the Philadelphia area no matter what their religious affiliation.

 The Welsh Guild at Arch St. Presbyterian Church came into being following the merger of the Girard Ave. Welsh and the Arch St. congregations.

The building itself is a spectacular example of 19th Century NeoClassiscm and has recently been refurbished inside and out.

Regular services are held every Sunday as well special services for Lent, including a noon time devotion for those who in Center City, and Welsh holidays and festivals.

Capel Dewi Sant/Saint David's Chapel

The Capel Dewi Sant is a smaller intimate room where Welsh celebrations, particularly the Gamanfa Ganu, are held

The chapel has a distinctly Welsh flavour with a carved Celtic Cross on the Altar, stained glass dragons and daffodils, and the Welsh words "Teuch Canton I'r Arglwydd" meaning "Lord Teach us to Pray" illuminating the alcove.

The Arch Street Presbyterian Church is located in Center City Philadelphia on the corner of 18th and Arch Streets, Between the Ben Franklin Parkway and JFK Boulevard, on 18th Street.and easily reachable by foot, public transportation, or driving.

Convenient to SEPTA's Suburban Station and many major bus lines, and a moderate walk from Amtrak's 30th Street Station

A large commercial parking lot is available for those who drive.
