Gymanfa Time

 

For a soul satisfying experience both
ethereal and sublime
Attend an old Welsh Church at Gymanfa time.
Listen to the singing-'twill thrill you
through and through,
It will lift your spirits upwards as nothing
else can do.
The lilting old Welsh melodies will make
your hear strings hum
With a tune of perfect harmony and make
contentment come.
The preachers catch the spirit as it comes
down from above
And they paint us glorious pictures of
God's redeeming love.
An effervescent friendliness emanates from
every heart
A firm, clinging handclasp makes the joyful
teardrops start.
And at the close, enchanted, high on the
mount we stand
Envisioning the glory of the Sacred
Promised Land.
